The Hound's Tale in Williamsburg

Good food and a fun atmosphere! They serve my favorite fish & chips in town.

Food and service are always great. Fish and chips are the best in town and when they made a mistake on a to go burger they fixed it asap. Most importantly, after Fat Tuna bailed on a reservation at the last minute, Hound’s Tale staff helped us more than any other restaurant in town. They spoke to me on a day’s notice and outside of regular business hours, offering to put together a signature cocktail for my wedding rehearsal as well as the chance for us to decorate and order group items. We ordered from the menu and constantly received excellent service from everyone working there. We did not have to wait long for anything. Off and on, rain prevented many of us from being able to eat outside together, for which the owner personally apologized. They even kept my wife’s umbrella for several days and let her grab it outside of business hours. We received the best service we have ever experienced in Williamsburg and will always be excited to return.

Really like the place, the people & the food is great! Our bartenders; Mike & Diane were very knowledgeable and help to create a fun atmosphere! I had the pork chop!

An unexpected gem; completely surpassed my expectations and will be a for-sure place to return anytime I'm back in Williamsburg. Nice atmosphere, service was top notch, and the food is definitely the star here. I had a short rib shepherd's pie special that was out of this world delicious. Great cocktail selection, even a wonderful kids menu. Already looking forward to my next trip back.

The food is out of this world and you HAVE to try the brussel sprouts. Cocktails are delicious and well balanced, achieving the perfect flavors without being overly strong. Wait staff is super friendly, offering suggestions and amazingly attentive. Loved the atmosphere. I had to stop myself from going back every single night of our trip.

Food was great! They had made a special menu for the carryout situation we are all in, to make sure the food that people ordered tasted just as good at home, as it does in their restaurant. It worked! Food was delicious!

I got the raspberry Cosmo as a drink, the fried brussel sprout appetizer, the cajun shrimp cavatelli meal and the tiramisu as dessert. Everything was fantastic! There was a man playing piano and it added wonderful atmosphere. The wait staff were very pleasant and the food came out quickly but I was here on a Tuesday. This place is definitely worth a try :) ** The shrimp were deveined and were delicious!
